Raised the roof...

...while raising funds at the 3rd Annual Chris Templin fundraiser at Q Bar Darien on Saturday, November 11th, as Pandemonium joined forces with our friends in Gel (featuring Pandemonium's own Ron Silay) to help out again as Chris continues his rehabilitation from a brain aneurysm and stroke in 2012. A great turnout participated in prize drawings, raffles and much more to help out with Chris, his wife Pam and family. Special guests include Pandemonium alumnus Scott Leonard on keyboards, along with Fred & Kelly Bonnato joining in on vocals and tambourine. Whole Lotta Rockin...

...at Q Bar Darien on Saturday, June 10th. Pandemonium tore through a blistering 60 minute set, unleashing some material never performed by the band previously: Heavy Metal (Sammy Hagar) and Let It Rock (Def Leppard). A large crowd was on hand to celebrate Fred Bonnato's 60th birthday. Fred joined the band on stage by belting out American Band while wife Kelly played a mean tambourine. Thanks to Ben and his staff at Q for hosting us, sound engineer Brad for his assistance, United Talent Coordinators for making it happen, and all the members of the phenomenal AC/DC tribute TNT Chicago and crew for joining us for this epic night of classic rock. Welcome Chris Silay...

...to the Pandemonium lineup. Chris has jammed with his brother Ron and Jay in multiple bands over the years, going all the way back to the Fortress days in the 70s and more recently in the Nugent tribute project, Gonzo. Chris has come on to help fill out the rhythm section after the announced departure of John Leonard from our live sets. Chris has also been seen in Rock Hard Chicago. Welcome aboard!

3 Headed Monster...

...was in full force for Triple Header Rock Night at Q Bar Darien on Saturday, March 11th. Kicking off the night was Gel, featuring Pandemonium's Ron Silay, playing 90's rock classics and blues. Then, Jay LaSalle, Roy Sommerfeld and Ron Silay unveiled their latest project, Gonzo!, playing some Ted Nugent tunes and more along with Ron's brother Chris Silay on guitar and long time friend Karel King on vocals. Pandemonium rounded out the evening with many guest appearances, including former Pandemonium drummer Ron Melze rocking the kit on Fantasy, It's My Life and One Way To Rock, while Mic Cervenka belted out We're An American Band and partnered up with Karel King on Smoke On The Water. Thanks to all the staff at Q Bar Darien for hosting us, United Talent Coordinators for making it happen, and sound technician Don for dialing it in. Special thanks to longtime sideman John Leonard, an invaluable part of the Pandemonium experience for the past 8 years, who is looking to retire from the Pandemonium live performances, and we wish him well in all of his future endeavors. One door closes, another one (re)opens...

...After many years providing a solid back-beat for Pandemonium, Ron Melze has decided to step down. Ron moved to Tennessee a couple of years ago, but made the effort to continue doing the occasional gig with us. However, the time has come for him to move on. We appreciate the years of service Ron has given as our drummer, along with his friendship, loyalty and commitment. We wish him well in all of his future endeavors. As with all former Pandemonium members, look for Mr. Melze to make guest appearances at our shows from time to time in the future.

Pandemonium is happy to announce the return of founding member Ron Silay back behind the drum kit. Although having already made an appearance at our most recent show at Austin's in a substitute role, we can now announce Mr. Silay's reinstatement to full-time status. Welcome back!

Rocking Hard and Tilted...

...Pandemonium was invited by our former drummer, Ron Silay, and his mates in Rock Hard Chicago to participate in a benefit concert at the Tilted Kilt in Woodridge (IL) on Friday, October 2nd. The goal was to raise money for our good friend Chris Templin on his road to rehabilitation after he suffered a ruptured brain aneurism and a stroke in November of 2012. Pandemonium kicked off the festivities, followed by Kings of the Nighttime World (unmasked), and Rock Hard Chicago playing sporadically between bands and finishing up the night. ...Thanks to everyone who came out to the World Vision benefit August 22nd at Alley 64 - Palatine. It was great to get out and rock again after a 2 year hiatus, especially with our friends in Kings of the Nighttime World and Acdc Tribute Tntchicago. Special thanks to Scott Leonard for reuniting with us on keyboards/guitar, and Matt Laczynski for guesting on drums for American Band. Ken Kaczmarz and crew raised over $7500 in one night, how cool is that? We hope to see you all soon.

Another successful night of rocking the classics in "the big room", followed by Generation X playing modern rock until closing. Super Bowl rocking...

...What a night! Pandemonium fans were treated to a number of surprises on Saturday February 2nd when the band temporarily reunited with former Pandemonium drummer Ron Silay and headlined the musical portion of Fred and Gary�s Super Bowl of Comedy and Rock Showcase II at Cabana Charley's in Woodridge, IL. The night began with the official debut of Rock Hard who performed a heavy dose of Ted Nugent covers and a rousing rendition of (You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party) by the Beastie Boys. Ron Silay is a founding member of Rock Hard. Next up were Fred Bonanno, Gary Warner and Jerry Kruse who each performed a hilarious stand up comedy routine to the delight of the capacity crowd. Pandemonium was tasked with closing the show and delivered two searing sets with Silay at the helm. Highlights include former Pandemonium vocalist Ray Hagen singing lead vocals on Fool For The City and Stealin', and friend Karel King singing lead vocals on Jenny (867-5309), Takin' Care of Business and China Grove. Even co event organizer Fred Bonanno joined the fray by belting out lead vocals on We're An American Band and Rock & Roll All Nite with the band. A good time was had by all! Special thanks to Ron Silay and Fred Bonanno for inviting Pandemonium to take part in this great event. Special thanks to Pandemonium drummer Rob Melze for graciously relegating the drumming duties to Ron Silay for this one off performance. ...At least it felt that way as Pandemonium appeared once again at our favorite neighborhood hometown haunt, the newly remodeled Q Bar and Grill on Saturday November 24th. Care for Sher benefit show...

...The benefit was a rousing success and Pandemonium was indeed firing on all cylinders throughout this performance. A very special thanks goes out to former Pandemonium vocalists Max Bjork and Ray Hagen for lending both their time and their talents to this worthwhile cause in the wake of Warren's planned absence. Kudos to John Leonard for cutting his vacation short and driving straight to the gig from Grand Rapids (MI) in order to deliver yet another standout performance on keyboards and guitar. Jay experienced a personal joy when his son Matthew donned a bass guitar and joined the band on stage for a riveting rendition of Detroit Rock City. Special thanks to Gail & Jim Gasper, Anne & Ken Gerth, Barb Dutch, Bill Dutch and Mimi Urbain for attending. This event would not have been possible without the invaluable contributions of Natalie Allen Lascola, Wild Jesus and the Devil's Lettuce, 115 Bourbon Street, KC Audio and the various sponsors who contributed to the success of the evening.

New gig at Q Bar and Grill announced...

...So it's been awhile, but we're still kicking. Come join us at our favorite neighborhood hometown haunt, Q Sports Bar and Grill (formerly known as Q Sports), on Saturday November 24th. You've got plenty of time to mark it down and save the date...no excuses this time! Q Bar is located at 8109 S Cass Ave in Darien, just north of I-55. Banded together...

....Pandemonium participated in "Banding" Together - A Tribute To The "Rock" Ronald Klemz on Saturday, November 26th, at Arabian Knights Farms Barn in Willowbrook, IL. The Klemz Benefit was a huge success. Hundreds of people from Darien and the surrounding communities gathered together to celebrate the life of Ronald Klemz. The benefit was an amazing show of support for the Klemz Family and it spoke to the type of individual that Ron was. A variety of acts performed throughout the evening to the enjoyment of all. Pandemonium performed a riveting 50 minute of our finest material, followed by The Burpin' Tacos who closed out the evening in fine fashion. Ron Klemz was a founding member of The Burpin' Tacos. In a fitting tribute to Ron, the band aired a video clip from their performance at the 2011 Darien Festival. The clip featured Ron singing lead vocals on the Rolling Stones classic "Sympathy For The Devil". The video clip brought both cheers and tears from all who gathered in Ron's honor. Highlights from the Pandemonium performance included former Pandemonium lead singer Ray Hagen lending his vocals to the Uriah Heap song "Stealin'". The benefit raised over $11,000.00 for Ron's family. Pandemonium feels blessed to have been a part of this worthwhile cause.

R n R High School, the sequel...

...Pandemonium performed for a second time at Riverside Brookfield High School on Saturday, November 12th, 2011 as part of the school's annual Educational Foundation Telethon. This event helps to raise funds for the Riverside Brookfield High School Education Foundation. Thanks to everyone that came out to the RB Auditorium to help us rock the house, and thanks to all who viewed the telethon on local cable TV or across the internet via www.rbtv.tv, and also thanks to all those that helped the cause with your monetary donations. Special thanks to Gary Prokes, Ellen Fong, Mike Aieta and all of the students and staff that helped out. Notable attendees included Al and Becky Vilches, Bob and Kristen Hianik, Marion Laczynski, Mark and Carol Betszynski, Tim Goldstein, Pam and Rich Marks. Also appearing prior to the Pandemonium performance was Velocity, a young adult band that includes Jay's 2 sons.

...as we made our maiden voyage to Ballydoyle Irish Pub & Restaurant in Aurora on Friday, July 29th. A very special thanks to Tony & Jackie LaBarbera and Shark Productions for providing Pandemonium with the opportunity to perform at this fine west suburban location. Pandemonium blazed thru a riveting 60 minute set that included Warren and John´s debut performance of the Lynyrd Skynyrd classic "Saturday Night Special" and typically searing renditions of the Pandemonium staples "Separate Ways", "It´s My Life", "Lights Out" and "We´re An American Band". A total blow out...

...at Total Sports Bar in Naperville on Saturday, April 2nd. Another great night with our friends Cougar as well as AVM...a pleasure to work with both of these fine acts again. Plenty of friendly faces in attendance, and it was great to see former Pandemonium member Brian Vinezeano playing lead guitar for AVM. It was a joy to reconnect with Brian. A very special thanks to Tony & Jackie LaBarbera and Shark Productions for providing Pandemonium with the opportunity to perform at Total Sports, and a shout-out to the staff at TS, namely Paulina and Dee Dee. A very special thanks to former Pando member Scott Leonard for flying in from Kansas City to fill in on keyboards/guitar for the entire show and to former Pando members Ray Hagen and Ron Silay for joining the band on stage for riveting renditions of Stealin´ and Open Invitation. The Mark III Pandemonium lineup reunion was a blast and by all accounts the boys delivered the goods in earnest. Quality at the Q...

...as Pandemonium returned to our favorite neighborhood home establishment, Q Billiards & Sports Bar for a Chicago Rocker Holiday show on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Nov 27th. Also appearing were our new found friends Broken Hip and Cougar, and it was a pleasure to work with both of these fine acts. As advertised, "the Q" has indeed been remodeled with a new dedicated music room complete with a new stage, sound and lights. A very special thanks to Tony & Jackie LaBarbera and Shark Productions for providing Pandemonium with the opportunity to perform at the new and improved Q Billiards. Kudos again to John Leonard for his contributions to the Pandemonium cause over the past several months. And, special acknowledgements to former Pandemonium members Scott Leonard and Ray Hagen for accompanying the band on Saturday night. Scott flew in from Kansas for this show and shared both the keyboard and rhythm guitar duties with John throughout our entire set. Ray joined the band onstage to sing lead vocals on the Uriah Heep classic "Stealin´". A great time was had by all!
